Arkansas Trip

Against my better judgement, I have put our favorite new place to stay in Arkansas. This cabin was top notch, and we hesitated to let everyone know about it. We decided it was mean not to share what fun we had. We stayed in a cabin about 7 miles from Osage, AR and the entire place was ours. I included pictures of the cabin, some pictures we took on a photo adventure day, and the main room of the cabin. Bart had been putting in about 70 hours a week between his normal job and Barnes and Noble. I thought he deserved a break!! Check out their website sometime. Summer Travels 2005

We had the opportunity back in August to take a small trip to celebrate our 5th Anniversary. We went for 3 days to Austin, TX to see family and friends, and to spend the day at Schlitterbahn. This is my absolute favorite place in the world (I haven't seen much of the world, but the Travel Channel agrees with me!!) Schlitterbahn is ranked every year on Travel channel as the World's Best Waterpark. We also had to make sure we got a photo of the Stevie Ray Vaughn statue down by downtown Austin for Bart. At least there were dogs for me to watch playing in the water and chasing each other. The last photo was a day shopping trip I made with my mom and Bart. I absolutely love Crate and Barrel and could not resist adding it in to our travels.

Our New Family

Back in July we added to our family by adopting Batley from a coworker of mine. He received his name from the vets because of his massive fangs he has. He fully believes in carrying out the statement of a "curious" cat. He keeps us on our toes. His favorite activity is to tap me on the head with his paw around 6AM so that Bart can wake up to feed him. Grissom quickly adjusted to his new friend. This won't be the last time you will hear his name. Many stories are sure to follow.
